South Africa, 17 February 2023, Coronet Blockchain Pty Limited today announced Ms Nontobeko Mathenjwa the Coronet48 Board Effectively from 01 March 2023. Ms. Nontobeko Mathenjwa will serve as a member of the Advisory Board. Following the appointment of Ms. Nontobeko Mathenjwa, the Board will comprise 18 directors, 12 of whom are independent.


"Currently managing a ZAR 2.5 billion project: Nontobeko is no stranger to leading through complexities. Help us welcome her to the Coronet48 family. Where she will be extending her reach to serve the Continent’s Startups under the Coronet48 program, celebrating the continent’s emerging & established founders.


Much like the sophisticated roads network spanning 750 000 kilometres, forming part of her office focus, which make up South Africa’s roads: Nontobeko’s expertise in Project Managing, Engineering & Community Development. Will be deployed through a different hat: Board Advisory focus for Startups


Paving way for these Africa facing startups & their founders, to take to the skies & impact our nations, by joining hands with the board, in identifying and recognising these talents. Celebrating the startups that are moving the needle up for Africa’s development.

Nontobeko Mathenjwa is an award-winning project management professional, with 16 years’ experience in the built environment. Nontobeko is currently employed by the South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) and has been under their employ for nine (9) years to date. During this period, she has acquired solid experience in construction engineering and management of road infrastructure projects.


Due to this experience, she is running one of the organication’s flagship project – The Moloto Road Upgrade project. She studied Civil Engineering and holds a national diploma in civil engineering), a b-tech degree in construction management and a masters degree in engineering management.


At age 29 she was already serving as a director and a board trustee at three (3) different boards as a consequence of her believing in contributing and making an impact through the use of her skills, abilities, knowledge, and talents. She currently serves at WiMBIZ (Women in Mining Business) as the Executive Lead where she is responsible for identifying projects and initiatives for women entrepreneurs in the mining industry for women to participate in.


She is a co-founder of Genesys Habitat, an NPC whose vision is to give communities tools to eradicate poverty by making them self-sufficient and economically independent. Lastly, she is a Gender Mainstreaming Award winner 2022: Positive Role Model (Gauteng) and a Woman of Stature South African Awards nominee (2023).
